About the Organizers - Silvia King & Roberta Pagliarulo

Working Together

By joining forces, Roberta Pagliarulo and Silvia King are putting diversity and inclusion into action. They hail from diverse personal and coaching backgrounds: Roberta is an accredited ICF coach and Silvia is an EMCC coach. Roberta’s coaching approach of choice is ontological coaching, Silvia’s is positive psychology.

And yes: Roberta is Italian, Silvia is a Swiss Austrian. But they have a lot in common too: A passion for bringing their experience to international contexts, be it in one-to-one coaching conversations or as speakers at international conferences, and a vibrant curiosity for learning about and from other cultures.

By combining their diverse experience and personalities and including their individual strengths, this course has emerged. It brings together coaching psychology research, proven practical approaches and years of experience that Roberta and Silvia gained working across the globe, from Europe, the US, the Middle East or Asia. Integrating their shared knowledge, Roberta and Silvia aim to help raise the sensitivity for situations where “culture” – from nationality or race to religion or social groups and more – may affect how we engage with the people we encounter as coaches, mentors, HR professionals or managers.

Roberta and Silvia believe that with awareness for the cultural dimension, we can choose how to communicate and interact more constructively and effectively, turning diversity into a strength.
